Their work is characterized by a blend of intricate visuals and an unrelenting, sensuous energy, always drawing from a toolset of both practical special effects and CGI.
The duo’s fervent dedication to cutting-edge technology, which they explore in their campaigns as well as in experimental films, informs Cokau's unique and ever-evolving visual worlds.
Cokau’s remarkable versatility is reflected in clients as diverse as Range Rover, Lancôme, TAG Heuer, McDonald’s, Pernod Ricard, Shu Uemura, Bentley, Guerlain, Audemars Piguet, and Yves Saint Laurent—to name a few. The campaigns are united by a forward-thinking, transdisciplinary creative approach rooted in the directors’ complementary expertise—Coquerel comes from a background in editing, while Kauffmann was a motion designer before the two teamed up as directors over a decade ago.
